Reviews and seller feedback

Reviews and seller feedback

Klatchit has two rating systems: product reviews (about the item) and seller feedback (about the store, per transaction). Both are gated on a delivered purchase, so every review on Klatchit is a verified purchase.

Product reviews

  • Who can review: you can review a product once your order for it is delivered (local-pickup orders count as delivered at handoff). There is no other path — no purchase, no review.
  • One review per product per buyer.
  • Rating is a whole number 1–5, with an optional written review. Reviews publish immediately.
  • Editing: you can edit your review for up to 30 days after posting. Manage yours at /account/reviews or write one from the order page.
  • Helpful votes: one vote per review per person; you cannot vote on your own review.
  • The product's star average and count are computed from published reviews; reviews hidden by moderation don't count.
  • Your display name appears with the review ("Klatchit shopper" if you haven't set one).

Seller feedback

Separately, you can rate the store for each delivered order (1–5 stars plus an optional comment, one per order per seller). Ratings of 4 or 5 count as "positive" in the store's headline positive-feedback percentage shown on its storefront. You cannot rate your own store.

Product Q&A

Anyone signed in can ask a question on a product page. Answers are restricted to two badged groups: the seller (a store team member with an active listing on that product — answering also requires the member's role to hold the messages:send permission, so viewer-role members cannot answer) and verified owners (buyers with a delivered purchase of the product). Some product pages also offer an AI "ask about this product" assistant that answers strictly from the product's own listing data and the seller's published policies — if the answer isn't there, it defers to the seller rather than guessing.

Moderation

Reviews, feedback, questions, and answers can be hidden by Klatchit moderation; hidden content disappears from the page and from rating averages.
